Abstract

Studying youth – this generation, on which depends the future fate of Russia. Currently, the younger generation is faced with new challenges related to changes in the global world. Culture and Spirituality in recent years become a battleground for the minds of youth. Therefore, in the modern Russian society is growing awareness of the importance of the problem of cultural education of youth. The subject of study of this article are the processes of formation of personal culture among students. In the detailed understanding of the young people we studied the image of a cultured person in modern conditions. Cultural self-development of the individual depends on the priorities and of attitudes of today’s youth. The scientific study of the phenomenon of personal culture requires an analysis of its main structural components. The author examines in detail aspects such topics as the involvement of young people in the cultural life of the city. Particular attention is paid to the study of the causes hindering the development of cultural and creative potential of students. The methodology of this study is the analysis of monitoring data component of the formation of the cultural component in the student society. Evaluation and systematization of the factors affecting the formation of the youth culture, based on the mass surveys of university students. A distinctive feature of the questionnaire survey is to use a large number of open questions. For their treatment, a special computer technology, which allows to move from unstructured data to structured that allows you to calculate the quantitative assessment of the factors affecting the formation of the cultural component in the student society. Identifying and structuring the problems standing in the way of cultural youth formation, prioritises their solution and promotes the search for effective mechanisms of cultural values of young people.
